If you choose Sheffield Pediatrics for your child's care, all you have to do is let OB admitting know and they will notify our rounding doctor when your baby is born. The rounding doctor will see your baby in the hospital and then you can schedule your initial office visit with the pediatrician of your choice.

Please make sure the OB admitting has your current address and insurance information. Upon registration, let the hospital know what insurance will be covering the baby. If you do not have insurance, will you be applying for coverage? Sheffield Pediatrics only accepts Tenncare, TLC.

Remember to add your baby to the insurance policy as soon as possible. This will ensure proper reimbursement for the baby's hospital costs. Your plan may allow 15-30 days to do this, but delays in processing could cause payments to be denied.
